Student Credit Union Branch

— Your School. Your Credit Union. Your Future.

What is a Student Credit Union Branch?

Our Student Credit Union Branch is a fully functioning credit union location where high school students are employed to serve the financial needs of fellow students. Students who join become members of Westmoreland Community FCU and can enjoy everyday banking products, such as checking and savings accounts, along with loan products especially designed for youths.

Westmoreland Community Federal Credit Union’s goal as Partners In Learning, includes teaching students to become financially responsible. In most instances, members under age 18 will need parental signatures to take advantage of loan opportunities. Members are also given access to other resources and tools that furthers their financial education. The Student Credit Union Branch also provides hands–on teller experience to individuals who have an interest in banking and finance.
